We drive change in Europe.
Tuesday, 3rd October 2017 5:45 to 7:00 pm (BST) Manchester, GB
So much of the public debate focuses on the mechanics of Brexit, the Repeal Bill and the negotiations. There’s been little attempt to address a fundamental question: what should Britain look like after Brexit? What sort of country do we want to be in 2030? And in particular: how do we design an immigration system in which the public can consent?
As Open Europe launches a major research project on immigration we bring together rising stars of the Conservative Party to discuss the future of Britain.
The panel discussion will be chaired by Lord Maude of Horsham, who has held various roles including as Minister for Europe, Cabinet Office Minister, and Minister for Trade. Francis Maude was also a Shadow Chancellor, and Shadow Foreign Secretary, as well as a Party Chairman.
Member of Parliament for Saffron Walden
Member of Parliament for Harborough
Member of Parliament for Richmond (Yorks)
There will be an introduction by Gabriel Milland from Public First who will present some preliminary findings from focus groups conducted for Open Europe’s Immigration Project.
Please note this event is in the secure zone and you will need a pass to attend.
